Strike Pad
Product Description
The Structural Earthing Strike Pad (ARK-SP10) is an ARK structural earthing component manufactured by DFMHUB in India. It provides a defined metallic interface for joining an earthing conductor to the structural reinforcement or embedded bonding network. It is intended for engineered earthing and bonding systems in commercial buildings, industries, data centres, infrastructure, high-rise developments and solar projects. A catalogue code gives procurement and site teams a controlled item to coordinate with the BOQ and approved drawings. A prepared interface is used to make the joining location predictable and inspectable before it becomes concealed. The pad must match the approved conductor, reinforcement member and joining process. Its use does not automatically authorise welding to any reinforcing bar; the structural engineer must approve where and how a welded connection may be made. The installation team should follow the approved weld or clamp procedure, check alignment and avoid reducing reinforcement strength or concrete cover. The completed joint should be visually inspected and, where specified, tested before the pour. Photographs and grid/location references help future engineers trace the concealed earthing network. DFMHUB positions ARK as a manufacturer-led system rather than a collection of unrelated trading items. Product drawings, material details, fabrication or assembly steps, dimensional inspection and order-specific documentation can be coordinated before supply. The final submittal should state the exact dimensions, material grades, joining method, finish, tolerances and test evidence required for the selected configuration. This prevents broad marketing claims from replacing project engineering. Key product-page benefits include: • Defined pad area for the approved joining process • Supports consistent positioning and inspection • Reduces uncontrolled site-made contact points • Can be coordinated with project drawings Welding to reinforcement must be specifically approved by the structural engineer and performed to the approved procedure. Protect nearby concrete accessories, inspect the completed joint and record it before concealment. Selection note: Confirm pad material and size, conductor interface, approved weld or clamp method, reinforcement restrictions, corrosion environment and inspection requirements. Coordinate the component with the structural engineer, electrical consultant, MEP contractor and earthing designer before concrete work proceeds. For a quotation, provide product code ARK-SP10, quantity, material and dimensions, conductor/rebar interfaces, drawings, project location, inspection requirements and delivery schedule. DFMHUB can then align manufacture, packing and documentation with the approved requirement.
