Product Description & Engineering Scope

Detailed technical specifications, material performance & installation guidelines

ARK-ST01 is a stainless steel strip holder clamp designed to support flat conductor strips used in lightning protection, bonding and associated earthing interfaces. Flat strips require different support geometry from round conductors, and a purpose-made holder helps keep the strip aligned without uncontrolled twisting, sagging or site-made strapping. ARK-ST01 is suitable for vertical or horizontal routes on walls, columns and approved structural surfaces where a flat conductor forms part of the engineered electrical safety system.

Selection should start with the strip width, strip thickness and conductor material. The holder should retain the conductor securely without forcing sharp deformation, and the fixing hardware should suit the mounting substrate. Where the strip is routed outdoors, environmental exposure, water paths and corrosion compatibility should be reviewed. Dissimilar-metal interfaces are particularly important when stainless steel holders are used with copper, aluminium or galvanized strips. The route should remain accessible for inspection where required and should be coordinated with architectural finishes, mechanical services, movement joints and other construction details.

ARK-ST01 forms part of the ARK External Lightning Protection System by DFMHUB and can be incorporated into projects where flat strip conductors are specified for down-conductor, bonding or transition routes. Standardized holders help EPC contractors maintain consistent workmanship and make it easier for consultants to inspect the conductor path. They also improve BOQ clarity because the support component is defined rather than left as an unspecified “suitable clamp.”

IEC 62561-4 provides the relevant standard context for conductor fasteners used to retain and support LPS conductors. The wider external lightning protection system should be engineered with reference to IEC 62305-3 and the project specification. Before approval, confirm strip dimensions, holder material, fixing arrangement, corrosion environment and the applicable ARK technical documentation. If the strip is part of an earthing or bonding interface outside the external LPS scope, the project’s earthing and electrical standards should also be reviewed so the mechanical holder is used within the correct system design.

Engineering confidence: DFMHUB supports Stainless Steel Strip Holder Clamp (ARK-ST01) with product identification, dimensional review, material/finish confirmation and order-specific documentation as agreed in the quotation or approved submittal. The component must be selected as part of the complete engineered system, not by product code alone.
