Product Description & Engineering Scope
Detailed technical specifications, material performance & installation guidelines
ARK-RD01 is a stainless steel down conductor holder clamp used to retain a lightning protection down conductor along walls, columns and other vertical building surfaces. Down conductors form the controlled path between the roof-level air-termination system and the earth-termination arrangement, so their routing and physical support must remain consistent with the engineered LPS design. ARK-RD01 provides a durable, identifiable fixing point for exposed vertical conductor runs and helps keep the route straight, accessible and visually organized.
The holder should be selected according to conductor diameter, wall or facade substrate, anchor type, stand-off requirement and environmental exposure. On concrete or masonry, fixing hardware must be appropriate for the substrate. On facades, the route should be coordinated with cladding joints, windows, services and architectural finishes. The conductor should also be protected from accidental impact where it passes through accessible areas. Where stainless steel comes into contact with aluminium, copper or galvanized materials, the approved interface should be checked for galvanic compatibility, especially in humid, coastal or chemically aggressive locations.
ARK-RD01 is part of the ARK External Lightning Protection System by DFMHUB and can be specified with compatible ARK conductors, test joints and connection components. For contractors, a standard holder improves fixing consistency over long vertical runs. For consultants and facility teams, it creates a cleaner inspection route because each down conductor can be visually followed from roof level toward the test-joint or earth-termination area. It also provides better traceability in BOQs and maintenance records than unbranded or site-fabricated supports.
IEC 62561-4 is the relevant component-standard context for conductor fasteners used to retain and support down-conductor systems. IEC 62305-3 provides the broader requirements for down-conductor arrangement, installation, inspection and maintenance. Before final approval, verify the actual conductor size, fixing details, stainless steel grade or declared material, anchor requirements and applicable ARK test documentation. Installation spacing and routing should always follow the approved LPS drawing and project method statement.
Engineering confidence: DFMHUB supports Stainless Steel Down Conductor Holder Clamp (ARK-RD01) with product identification, dimensional review, material/finish confirmation and order-specific documentation as agreed in the quotation or approved submittal. The component must be selected as part of the complete engineered system, not by product code alone.
